Effective December 17, Diana Finzi, Ph.D., serves as NIH Acting Associate Director for AIDS Research and Acting Director of OAR. Bill G. Kapogiannis, M.D., transitioned from his role as NIH Acting Associate Director for AIDS Research and Acting Director of OAR to a new role in the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority within the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response at HHS.
Request for Information: Priorities for HIV and Women's Health Research
The HIV and Women Signature Program, a joint program of NIH OAR and the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health, has issued a request for information (RFI) to collect feedback on research priorities related to HIV and women’s health to inform future programs and research efforts. Comments must be submitted by December 31.

The 64th meeting of the OARAC featured an update from OAR on how health disparities are shaping the NIH HIV research program, partner presentations, and a panel highlighting NIH perspectives on the role of syndemic models in HIV health disparities research.
