HIV Antiretroviral and Opportunistic Infections Guidelines Working Groups of OARAC

The Office of AIDS Research Advisory Council (OARAC) convenes working groups to write, review, and update guidelines for the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS. The HIV Antiretroviral and Opportunistic Infections (OI) Guidelines Working Groups of OARAC include subject matter experts from academia, clinical medicine, community organizations, and several U.S. Department of Health and Human Services agencies. HIV/AIDS experts from the United States and abroad—including physicians, pharmacists, researchers, and HIV/AIDS treatment advocates—also serve on the working groups. The guidelines from these working groups are recommended for use by U.S. health care practitioners, and inform medical providers and the public throughout the world. The guidelines may be accessed on the AIDSinfo website.
